bang tree exhibition

about

This is a temporary exhibition at Hoa Lo Prison Relic. The exhibition introduces the stories of the Bang trees in  Hoa Lo Prison, the Bang trees in remote islands, and the Bang trees in poetry, painting, and art.

In this exhibition, I used shades of green and yellow as the main color palette, as these are the colors that most associate with Hoa Lo Prison and the Bang trees. In the "Bang at Hoa Lo" section, the panels are decorated with circular shapes, with overlapping parts forming a leaf shape. Placed in the center of the panels are Bang trees illustrated to represent the four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—so that viewers can see the colors of the Bang tree as the seasons change.

On the opposite wall, titled "Oh, Bang..!", rectangular blocks of various sizes and colors are arranged in an interwoven pattern, creating a multicolored picture overall. The exhibition also includes a space designed in the 3D shape of a Bang tree, serving as a display area for souvenirs of the Hoa Lo Bang tree, creating a highlight that attracts attention within the exhibition.
